Learn
and discuss Islam and find out more about Muslims in the
UK in our modern world through ten interactive and friendly
sessions facilitated by an experienced and qualified tutor.
The course does not need participants to have any prior knowledge
of Islam. There is a mid-term break during the period.
The
course seeks to provide both an introductory and exploratory
look at Islam. It starts with the basic principles and practices
and then develops understanding of issues related to diversity,
culture, politics and worldviews.
All
participants during the sessions are encouraged to openly
discuss controversial or sensitive topics and not to shy away
from being outspoken. All opinions strong or otherwise are
respectfully considered.
The
course would enrich knowledge and understanding of the subject
through critical consideration without embarrassment of the
issues we face of our fears, concerns, antithetical or favourable
ideas.
